Here's a Happy New Year postcard to our readers from one of the most physically beautiful places on the planet: New Zealand's Fiordland.
I took this photo several days ago. We were driving along on the road between the little town of Te Anau and Milford Sound on the Firodland coast. I could not resist to stop and take a photo of the wildflowers -- Mountain Lupines -- with the snowcapped mountains in the background. Hope it brings good thoughts to everyone. We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2008. We'll be back home soon!
Happy Holidays, I hope you are still enjoying your Kiwi adventures. NZ has been on my list of must see before I die places for a long time. Looking at your pictures just makes me even more determined. What beautiful scenery. The lupines make me a bit home sick for Texas and bluebonnets (another lupine) which turn entire fields denim blue every spring.
Inspirational flower smelling stuff and we wish you safe travels and us flowers are so looking forward to sharing 2008 with you Bobbie - you truly are a breath of fresh air!
Safe travels from your flower smelling buds, Jim N Em and the GO! Smell the flowers gang!

Happy New Year to you too ! I wrote a little report about how we celebrated here in Belgium. Poor Arthur disappeared in my wardrobe because of the fireworks !
lupines...I love lupines - I don't think I have ever seen them in three colors. Very beautiful! So that is what I missed on my first trip to NZ and never got out of Auckland! Stunning photography and your artwork is da bomb!!
The Right Blue refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.
