That is a pretty fish, I'm glad you found it. Were you diving in the Red Sea to get it (the picture) yourself?
I have been near your Puako Beach, perhaps on it. I have circled the Big Island (Hawaii) in the late 80's. We spent a week camped at the Mona Kea State Park too. It was wonderful. And jogging/running in the mountains, I went for miles and miles. Sooooo nice. ..
Thank you all for your comments. Since this is my first time to participate in Wordless Wednesday, I didn't know what to expect. I'm overwhelmed!
To those who thought the fish resembled Nemo, in fact the little guy in my photo is a first cousin to the species that the Nemo character was based on (same Genus).
@ jim - Hope you get an opportunity to visit our island again some time. It has changed quite a bit since the time when you were here -- but the mountains and the ocean are everlasting.
And yes, all of the underwater photos on this blog were taken by me (over a period of nearly 20 years).
how did you do that bobbie?! what an amazing shot. will send our hawaii vacation blog visitors over to view your photos. it's overwhelming what miracles our tropical waters harbor! aloha, pua
EVERYTHING connected to the sea is either beautiful, peaceful or very interesting. even when it's other, more ugly creatures than this beauty.... *giggles*
Thank you all so much for your praise. I'm blushing.
Thanks in particular to all of my friends from the Photography Group at BlogCatalog. I really appreciate your support and friendship.
To those of you who arrived here via the Wordless Wednesday program, thank you for your welcome. You have made my first Wordless Wednesday a lot of fun, and I've enjoyed visiting your blogs as well.

P.S. to Pua, I hope some of my posts here will entice people to visit our Kohala coast. ;-}
The Right Blue refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.
The pretty fishie in the photo is a Two-bar Anemonefish (Amphiprion bicinctus) from the Red Sea.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first contribution to Wordless Wednesday.
