The 'ghost shrimp' name does refer to the white color. They are sometimes called by the common name 'fountain shrimp' because of the arrangement of those very long antennae. (Yes, Waterjay, there are six of those.)
The Right Blue refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.
Great picture, guys. Great to be back here after a few weeks.

Hmmm. It may look a bit ghostly, but is there any other reason for the name.
ReplyDeleteDoes it have six antennae?
ReplyDeleteIs it a "ghost" because of it's white appendages?
