Hmmm. It may look a bit ghostly, but is there any other reason for the name.
Does it have six antennae?
Is it a "ghost" because of it's white appendages?
The 'ghost shrimp' name does refer to the white color. They are sometimes called by the common name 'fountain shrimp' because of the arrangement of those very long antennae. (Yes, Waterjay, there are six of those.)Bobbie
