That stuff is so fantastic, I don't know how he does it. Of course, we will never get a fish like that (or that size). We will have to go out to the real blue for that. But in the meanwhile, we get to have something to look at that is beautifulAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9067507179347221008.post-12734427054796334212008-07-12T15:57:00.000-10:002008-07-12T15:57:00.000-10:00The reef and the underwater life is just beautiful...The reef and the underwater life is just beautiful in this shot - the fish just makes it perfect!kmlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00782946391673845914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9067507179347221008.post-8583039386283764482008-07-12T07:19:00.000-10:002008-07-12T07:19:00.000-10:00Beautiful! That matches with their scientific name, 'zanclus', which means sickle or scythe.

Moorish Idols are found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, and the tropical eastern Pacific. We do have them here in Hawaii, but I took this photo at Pulau Sipadan, Malaysia (the place I've been writing about most recently in The Right Blue).

I think Moorish Idols are one of the most elegant of the reef fishes.

BobbieBNShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10709074385552082635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9067507179347221008.post-70552110370073771892008-07-09T13:50:00.000-10:002008-07-09T13:50:00.000-10:00Very nice photo!Very nice photo!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9067507179347221008.post-88142329471632887182008-07-09T11:13:00.000-10:002008-07-09T11:13:00.000-10:00What part of the world is that beautiful fish foun...What part of the world is that beautiful fish found in?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9067507179347221008.post-20464457670723265072008-07-09T08:31:00.000-10:002008-07-09T08:31:00.000-10:00what a beautiful photo.
