Wow! Whatever that fish species is, it is sure HUGE!! :)
ReplyDeleteI still think that guy/gal is scary! How did you get the macro shots with the fish moving?
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
I'm with Will. I was just wondering how you managed to get that macro shot. Did you hold it still while you took the shot?
ReplyDeleteGreat series and I love the macro/abstract. Awwww-sum!
@ Will and 2Sweet - a) I was very, very close with the lens port nearly touching the fish; b) someone else was distracting the fish so that it wasn't paying much attention to me while I maneuvered; c) these are the shots that came out pretty well -- there were other, blurrier ones that I'm not going to post! :-D

The abstract shots almost look like feathers! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteVery cool shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering how you got the macro.
Oh how cool! What beautiful detail. I appreciate the third shot providing the context. Very nice. :D
ReplyDeletewhat cool patterns.
ReplyDeleteI'm sunning my buns in Anchorage this week. It's like the tropics here...at least 40 degrees today.
I really like the abstracts. But the stripes look great in context as well. The pattern is much finer than I would have guessed from the first images.
ReplyDeleteNIce pretty patterns. Very intricate. I am impressed you were able to get close enough to take the macros. DId the fish think you had an egg for it?
ReplyDeleteAgain, you amaze me! I can't imagine how close you were to that ginormous (yea, it's a word, maybe...) fish! Those pictures are awesome! In other news, I think my hubby & I will be getting scuba certified for Christmas!
