That is one unusual face! Even for a fish. Kind of scary, actually.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
The blues are amazing. Not being a diver, I never see this. Closest thing in my neighborhood is Lake Tahoe.
ReplyDeleteCool looking fish. It's hard to believe that huge fish is a wrasse since we kept several small wrasse in our salt water tank in Jakarta. Colin agrees with Will, he thought it was scary!
ReplyDeleteBTW it's not so much that I got used to the tropics but more I have always lived where it is warm. I am a South Texas girl. The last time I saw snow was '85 when we had a freak snow storm in San Antonio. I hate being cold but the colors on the trees are amazing! Trade-offs I guess.
Tropical fish are often so bizarre looking. Here in the arctic we have fish that just look like fish, kinda boring, but tasty.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to freeze up here. In a couple weeks we will be hooking through the ice for tomcods.
He's rather magnificent! I loved the nudibranchs below. They're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a strange creature! (He would probably think the same of me if I were down there!) He seems to be rolling his eyes. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and blue!!
ReplyDeleteMan, what a fish! Never seen anything quite like that. And look at the eyes. Thanks for joining Watery Wednesday!
ReplyDelete:-)
I have to say that although fish kind of creep me out, your site is very soothing. Will definitely come back to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool fish ! My first visit, and I absolutely love your blues!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly deep blue of water! And that fish is like some bizarre shape in a sci fi movie!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant pic!
It looks ferocious so I'm surprised it's endangered. My, the water sure is blue!
ReplyDeleteExotic looking.
ReplyDeleteMust have been very impressive when you saw it !
ReplyDeleteI am leaving on Nov 15 for 2 weeks Red Sea !! Am I happy to escape the rainy weather here !
That's a beautiful fish but a little scary.
ReplyDeleteAgain, another great photo.
ReplyDeleteHappy WW.
Wow...nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very interesting fish, with the "shell" on top of its head.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great collection of blue on blue.
It must be quite impressive to encounter such a fish up close. And I don't think it sounds scary at all.
Stunning blue - I'm mesmorized by the eye - fantastic 'catch!'
ReplyDeleteAn awesome fish and I enjoyed learning about him. Thank you. Great photograph.
ReplyDeleteHe is huge! I hope his disposition doesn't match his looks! He seem quite angry looking!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing. What a sinister expression!
ReplyDeleteYikes...that fish IS huge. And it looks like you can see right thru it. Happy WW. Great shot. Thanks for stopping by my friend:)
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbie, I like your big fish. I saw a three foot bluish fish swimming in our little creek the other day.
ReplyDeleteI took a picture but no fish was in the picture. A good reason to buy a nice camera don't you think?
Happy WW! Thank you for peeking in at my cat stuff and for your nice comment. Amber is a very nice cat. I put her story on my regular (Little) blog.
..
So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, man. I envy you guys so much!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture, as usual. What a treat is to come here every Wednesday!!!
My post...
