Oh boy, I'll be checking in to see the pics! I sort of collect lighthouses - that is to say, I take a picture of everyone I see and I try to see as many as I can. How did you get the perspective from being off?
Would love for you to keep me apprised of your trip. I spent some time on the East coast of Australia. I assume you're going up to the Great Barrier reef...
Thank you all for visiting and for your comments. We had no idea there were so many lighthouse lovers out there!
@ Martie - I don't think this one will be your home -- although there was a cottage nearby that used to house the keeper of this lighthouse, it is now a museum.
@ Chris - Yes, nice weather in NSW this time of year, but we won't be there for long -- just passing through. Stay tuned for the next stop...
@ June - You are welcome to add this lighthouse photo to your collection.
@ Kathy, Mary, Ellen B., and Frigga - Yes, it is our good fortune to travel 'down under' at this time, but Australia actually is not the main destination of this trip -- just a stopover en route. Stay tuned for more. (How's that for a tease?!)
Thank you all for the nice comments about the lighthouse photo. We're glad that our regular readers don't seem to be too disappointed that there was no underwater photo this week.
We're traveling for the whole month of December, so instead of our usual photos from past dives, we're posting photos from our current trip.
ReplyDeleteThis is the lighthouse at Kiama, New South Wales, Australia (south of Sydney). We took the pictures just a few days ago.

I love lighthouses...there's one in Mendocino county, California, where you can stay in the keeper's cottage overnight. I've always wanted to do that.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm also in love with your blog.

I love lighthouses, the most beautiful one I have seen at the English coast near Eastbourne. It's very old and not in use anymore.

ReplyDeleteI have always loved lighthouses. I have one as a screen saver on my computer. I also have a bunch of them in pictures in my library.
